Area guide - Reddish
Reddish is located on the northern edge of Stockport Centre, just five miles from Manchester City Centre. But it’s got a character and community spirit that’s very much its own. Along with the its community centre and interesting religious buildings of all kinds, its historic library and mills give the area a highly distinctive feel, with local property increasingly complemented by loft style apartments developed within many of the dramatic mill buildings.
Getting around
Reddish is the proud home to not one but two train stations – Reddish South and Reddish North – ensuring excellent commuting links to the surrounding area. North Reddish train station provides commuters with a snappy ten-minute ride into Manchester City Centre but things are set to get even better. New plans announced in January 2020 indicate that new tram stops, train stations and even a tram-train could be in place as part of a new five-year transport plan for Greater Manchester.

It’s also handily located for the M60 and M67, connecting drivers to the surrounding area.
